Married Life

I am sitting here reading random blogs and it seems like everyone is breaking up. It is depressing and I find myself crying over some break ups just because I feel sorry for others and what they go through.

I am so blessed. 

I have an amazing husband. Every morning when we wake up he makes me laugh. He grabs me close when he hears the alarm and says "uh huh." He never wants me to leave. I wake up randomly some nights and he is always holding on to me tight. We cuddle ALL night. Weird to think that it can be comfortable to be held close and not able to move... 

I am so grateful for him and how happy he makes me. I love coming home from working from 7 am til 11 pm twice a week to a clean house. He is way too good to me sometimes. 

I wish everyone, someday, will have what I have and be able to feel so much love all the time. It is the best life. 

I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for allowing such an amazing person to consume my life. 

Brandeis' First Blogging

Emotions..

My emotions go up and down. 

I am not saying Brandeis and I fight, haha

....we have a perfect relationship if you can say there can be one, 

but I tend to stay up at night just thinking. 

I don't really know what I am thinking about. 

Also, I just realized that I get anxiety a lot. 

I don't know why, but sometimes when I talk to 
random people that either I know or don't know, 
I begin to get shaky and I have to take deep breaths to get over it. 
So weird. 

So today I started reading a book called, 

"Feelings Buried Alive, Never Die" 

and on the first page the writer asks 
if you ever stay up at night thinking, 

but aren't sure what you are thinking about....

so crazy. 

I am on page 3 now, haha

but I hope this book gives me good advice. 

A few ladies the other night told me it has made them think 

of life in a different light.

Best Wife Award!

Growing up I wasn't allowed to cook. 
I feel it's because I almost burnt down the house before while cooking ramon. 
Top Ramon will be the death of me. 
It weirds me out when the water disappears and the noodles get stuck to the bottom of the pan. 
OR when I can't reach a pot holder so I grab a towel and catch the towel on fire, o well. 
I guess you can say that my parentals learned early to keep me away. 

Since going to college you can say I have become 
"Betty Freakin Crocker" 
and I amazed myself tonight.

Life.

Well, We have been married for 2 months! So crazy. 

Things I Love about being Married:

• Mornings! Brandeis always wakes me up by doing a creeper face until I open my eyes. So great. I laugh every day when I wake up.
• Cards. I love card games, but I love beating the crap out of Brandeis. 
• Breakfast! I love when Brandeis makes me breakfast...yummy burritos or pancakes. :)
• Movies. I think watching movies might change once you say "I do"... 
• Cleaning OUR place. Cleaning is better when it is recognized as "ours"
• In laws. We get to pick and choose when to go ;) But none the less we like our family :)
• I like having more brothers and sister. I like not being the youngest and getting to see them grow up!
• We are together.....a lot. I work 24/7 but I feel like we are never apart...even if he isn't here right now. haha. 
• I love being newlyweds at church. We are the youngest couple..and the only ones without a baby or two! SOOOOO crazy. Our nursery is BOOMin'.

I do miss my girlfriends but no one could ever come close to replacing them, besides Brandeis. He is the best replacement! He makes me laugh, constantly. ANNND he thinks I am hilarious, of course. haha.

Almost 2 weeks!

Can you believe it! This Saturday = 2 weeks til FOREVER & EVER!!


We have decided to move to Las Vegas now. Brandeis has a better opportunity to play baseball down there at CSN so on the road we go! I cannot wait. 


I have been searching for apartments down there and boy is it hard. All of the apartments are sketchy. I found one that 53% of people enjoy living there. They only have 1 problem that everyone agrees on...... Car break ins....not so bad right?!? 


ugh.

Well this past week has been fab-tab-ulous! I did a few great things.


#1 GrEaT thing of the week: Bicycle ride to the Provo Temple.

               I fully enjoyed peddling with Brandeis. I love how I was in the back and I couldn't see around him. I love how he made me put out my hand to make hand signals when we turned. We had a lot of on lookers that laughed at us. It was the best. We were soooo warn out by the time we made it from Univ. and 7th North in Provo up to 9 east and whatever to the temple. 

What a journey. It was all uphill. The best part was the ride back. 

Remember that my view of the road was shot. 

He would yell like "hold on!!" and I would have no idea what obstacle we were coming up to and 

he also fully enjoyed saying " UP.......and DOWN..." as we went from side walk to side walk. 

In conclusion to great thing of the week #1..Bicycles built for 2 are great ways to spend your evening.

#2 GrEaT thing of the week: She is MOVING out.

That is all I am going to say about that one. The B is out! Holla. 

#3 GrEaT thing of the week: Announcements

So I went to go look at my proof for my announcements which the best person in the world helped me design (Lori Truman) and I HATED THEM. hate isn't strong enough. The pictures were all fuzzy and we looked like goobers and such. So, I had Lori change them for me :)

Now, aren't these better? The best part is the printers only take 24 hours to do them... i know right? SO great. Now, I love them!

#4 GrEaT thing of the week: Flowers.

I am a VERY fickle person 

(an ex bf of mine told me that and that is the only thing he was ever right about) 

I change my mind CONSTANTLY and I am never content. Good trait right? :)

So I have been contemplating my flowers for my wedding lately and if you don't already know, I like the  abnormal stuff. I hate being like everyone else. I went on the best website ever and picked out my super cool felt/fabric/button flowers! They will be everywhere at my wedding! woo. :)

#5 GrEaT thing of the week: AMERICA!

So I am freaky "I love America" type of person. red white and blue make me giddy inside. Brandeis knows this of course and is the best at supporting my fetus. (haha i said fetus instead of fetish.) At his work (costco) the other day I say a bouquet of AMERICA themed flowers and I took a picture for my background. Brandeis knows my feelings on flowers, I hate receiving them all the time. I once had a boy buy them everytime I told him to get the H away and it just dampered my feelings on flowers from now on. Well, yesterday I received these from the best man in the world.

Well, that's my list. I have an amazing fiance fyi. He is great. Also, I love America! Happy 4th everyone!

Such a Great Day!

I have a new nephew! Luke Burton. 8 lbs 13 oz. born this morning! What a glorious day!

I feel the need to blog today. I hate rude people. You know? People that think they are funny, but deep down they are just  horrible people. I know a few of these type of people. I feel like in a way they are wishing they can be more like those they put down.

 I am extremely blessed. I have an amazing fiance that loves me for everything I am! I am who I am, and he doesn't want to change me. I cannot wait til we are married and can be alone! That's all I want, to be alone. I am sick and tired of being around others 24/7. He is my best friend and I wish it could just be us. Maybe, occasional visits from our family would be nice. Especially a visit or two from my 2 cute nephews!

This is my other nephew Ty. Who I just adore.

He is a babe and someday him and Luke will be BEST FRIENDS!

I feel like Brandeis and I progress more and more each day!

Yesterday we had the routine

"You just got engaged and now its time to chat with the bishop" meeting. It was the BEST!

We were cracking up and it made this whole thing more surreal.

We are getting married! I cannot believe it! It will be so nice to get away and
 just be with him forever!

We have grown so much from this....

To this.....

We have definitely Blossomed right?

Well, I love him and he is the most amazing thing in my life.

I am so excited for my new nephew and to see how he changes as he grows up! 

WhO kNoWs...I could be having a Baby Truman sooner than later ;)

December: School finally ended! yay yay yay! and the countdown til Elder Truman came home was getting smaller and smaller! I was FREAKING OUT. I moved home so we can date and see what happens. Christmas was great. We had the BEST phone call and I was positive we were going to get married.


January: THE BEST MONTH OF MY LIFE, so far....
Elder Truman came home on January 7th... I went to the airport, but didn't stay long. I didn't want to take away from family time, since I know how crazy moms can be because of my mom with my brothers.... =D  So after I saw him I was completely twitter patted. I just wanted to squeeze him! I went home and my mom kept me busy doing things as I waited for a phone call... It didn't come til much later that night. We planned on hanging out the next day. The next day we played all day and while at the mall in Journeys......... <3.... that's all you get. The rest of the month was amazing! We didn't spend a day apart and we started to get to know each other all over again! 


February-March: These months are a blurr. We worked constantly, I was at the Cupcakery and he was at Excalibur. We played a lot of volleyball, tennis, and basketball and stayed up late every night watching movies. I loved just being around him again. Before his mission I was very too myself and nervous to show him how much I liked him. I was VERY reserved. I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but now...things were working out just  how we wanted.


April: So, one night we were at my house and Sydney called to tell me bad news about our living situation in the fall. I was planning on moving to Utah (with Brandeis) then living with my girlfriends til homeboy decides its time to get married. Sydney informed me that they are living without me and I would be homeless & friendless. haha. I was really sad, but how am I supposed to tell Brandeis to marry me or else? I couldn't do it because I knew I would wait as long as he needed!! Well, he decided to grab the bull by the horn and jump on the engaged train. We decided to go look for rings and get married in the fall before school started so we won't have to worry about finding roommates and such =D We found a ring we both liked but it cost an arm and a leg.... it made me sick to think of him spending his LIFE SAVINGS on a ring I could lose or ruin.. =( So I told him we should  keep looking and not break the bank. I found the most amazing ring ever. I wanted one that was unique and one that no one else would have. He bought it. Right then and there.


The Engagement:
       April 17th, very early in the morning.
I decided to surprise Brandeis after he got off work at 12:45 am. He had my ring in his truck since he went and asked the parents permission earlier that day. He went and grabbed the ring from his truck and was sitting in my car just playing with it and telling me how he told his mom he bought it. I kept trying to look at it and I just wanted to hold it! He grabbed the ring from the box and DROPPED IT underneath the seat! We were so scared haha. So once he found it this is the dialogue


Brandeis: Do you want it?
Jerilyn: Yes.
Brandeis: Right now?
Jerilyn: Yes.
Brandeis: (gets down on 1 knee inside my little jetta and pulls out the box with the ring)
Jerilyn: ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS?!?
Brandeis: Jerilyn, I love you...  (and more mushy stuff that is inappropriate....)
Jerilyn: WE ARE IN MY CAR!
Brandeis: Should I get out???
Jerilyn: (i started to laugh and got all giddy inside cause i realized he was serious)
Brandeis: You are amazing.... (more mushy stuff) Will you marry me???
Jerilyn: AH!! (gave him a big hug and a kiss) YES!


okay....so that was the gist of it.... it was probably a little bit different, but that is pretty much how it went... isn't that great. I love him <3


Now we are both living in Utah for the summer and busily working on saving money and planning the wedding. I got my dress =D and we take engagements at the end of this month


HOW EXCITING!


I love Brandeis so much! It is crazy to think that someone out there understands me and still loves me =D


We are getting married in the Las Vegas Temple on August 14th, 2010 @ 1pm!!
